Twitter is a
service that lets a person send a text message to many people at once.
For example lets say you are looking forward to spending some time at the pool. You start to load up the car and kids. Meanwhile, at the pool
there is a rumble of thunder. The manager on duty is able to grab
their phone and send out a text message through Twitter that says,
"pool closed, thunder". You receive that message instantly on your phone. When the weather clears you will receive a text that would say something like, "pool open". To sign up for Twitter and follow CSTC click this link and hit the "Join Now" button. When you get to the last page of the sign up make sure you hit the "sign up your phone" link. Lastly, on your new Twitter home page click on the link that says "following" and click the little phone icon next to Croftonswim so that it turns green and says, "Updates are sent by SMS to your mobile phone". You will now be able to receive any critical updates by CSTC. If you are still confused, ask your 12 year old to set it up for you.
