For most of the twentieth century and since, the Crofton Swim and Tennis Club has occupied a niche of distinction in the spectrum of sport. Known to aficionados of the game as "Home of Champions", it has come to represent excellence not only as a spawning ground for noteworthy talent but as a tennis environment in which ordinary players invariably improve and prosper to become great players.CSTC has 8 tennis courts, 4 of which are lighted. The courts are open to members every day from 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Walk-in play is accepted if courts are available. Appropriate smooth, flat soled footwear is required for play. Knobs and grips on cross-training and running shoes can cause damage to the playing surface.
